HE’S JUST A DOG.
Here is a friend who proves his
worth
Without conceit or pride of bwth,
Let want or plenty play the host,
He gets the least and gives the
most—
He’s just a dog.
He’s ever faithful, kind and tiue,
He never questions what I do;
And whether I may go or stay,
He’s always ready to obey—
’Cause he’s a dog.
He watches me all through the day,
And nothing coaxes him away,
And through that night-long slumber
deep,
He guards the home wherein - I
sleep—
And he’s a dog.
As mortals go, how few possess
Of courage, trust and faithfulness
Enough with which to undertake,
Without some borrowed traits, to
make
A decent dog.

removed by sponging with warm
water into which a little ammonia

place thoroughly with clear water

press the garment before it has had
time to dry thoroughly.

Milldew.—- Speaking of stains—
milldew is one of the most stubborn
to remove. The first, thing that
should be tried is lemon juice and
sunshine. If that fails, try lemon
juice and starch, making a paste—
then put out in the sun. Chloride of
lime may be used as a last resort
It is very strong, so only a few drop
may be used at a time.

Cotton Planting
Seed
For Heavy Production and Early Maturity
A NEW VARIETY
SALSBURY IS DISTINCT
SALSBURY is a distinct variety—the result of eight year’s plant breeding
by Professor J. W. Fox and Mr. E. C. Ewing, the experts of the Delta and Pine
Land Co. at Scott Miss. Commencing with an extra-early heavy-fruiting
strain of Wannamaker-Cleveland, these men have worked untiringly year
after year selecting and cross-breading, keeping the best and eliminating the
underesirable, until they produced SALSBURY, which we believe to be a per
feet cotton. It has all the disirable qualities of an early big-boll short cotton;
still, is worth a good premium in any market.
