Gloster, Ga.—Luxomni won a
loosely played ball game from Glos
ter Tuesday by a score of 14 to 10.
The hitting of Hood and Nash was
the best for the winners. Hood had
a perfect day at bat with five hits
out of five times up, getting two
doubles and a home run. O. E.
Bramblett’s and O. Alford’s hitting

three earned runs and was then re
lieved by Sullivan. Sullivan did
some good relief pitching, sitting
Gloster, down in order in the 7th

EATING RATTLESNAKE
IS FATAL TO HOGS
Moultrie, Ga.—Although the bite
of arattlesnake will cause practi
cally no harm to a hog, according
to popular opinion, ith as been dem
onstrated that t doesn’t pay to let
ever, a porker eat a dead rattle
tlesnake. A Cook county farmer re
ports the loss of two fine hogs as
the result of feeding on adead rat
tler, which had been killed and hung
on a limb. -
It is stated that the hogs died soon
after pulling the reptile from the
tree and devouring it. Incidentally,
the snake was one of the largest
ever killed ni this section, being well
over six fe?t long and having twenty
rattles. J JTJ*. * ~ •«
