Hoa. A. J. Howard remembered
the editor Tuesday with a bunch of

season Mr, Howard seems to be a
banner gardener and knows how to
farm as well as make laws.
As we go to press the court is en
gaged 1n the trial of the two negroes
from Uptonville for murder, there
being no chance to secure a jury
before tomorrow morning in the
case of Joe Petty and others.
Judge Bob Frohock, of Camden
County, spent Sunday here, making
a nice little talk to the Sunday
Bchool in which he took occasion
to say that very few Sunday School
boys are in the penitentiary. The
Judge presided over the civil court
for Judge Scott, the twn sitting on
the bench with dignity,
