County Commissioners met in regular session with the following
mewmbers present: F. Johnson, B. G. McDonald and J. B." Lovd,
B. G, McDonald was made temporary chirman to act in the ab
sence of Hon. Jos. P. Mizell )
' Quite a number of citizens appeared before the body and made
known their wishes concerning certain proposed roads. . &
In reference to the road from Uptoavilic to Folkston a committee
was anpointed to investigate both routes and report their findings in
writing, and submit same to the County Commissioners at their nex:
meeting, The Committee 1n composed of the following, Messrs. A.
M. Bremer, T. H, Davis, and C. C. Powell from Uptonville Dustrict,
and C. W. Waughtel, ¥, W.Yourg, and John Zarfas of I‘olkston District
and the County Sarveyor, J. R. Cooper making a total of seven. Acting
Chairman, McDonald was appointed to _arrange matters of finance for
the body. :
It was agreed that when the couvict gang reach Uptonville with
their work, that they will be put on the St, George road for awhile, .
