and 1000 voter registered. Ballots
have been sent every precinct,
with the latest list of voters en
titled to particidate, and judges
chosen to preside.
The candidates have been mak
ing their lasts rounds this week
seeing the voters, and every in
dication at this time points to the
certain defeat of some of them

With the opening of this hand
some structure down went the
old bridge that has pryven of such
great help to this county in. build
ng the Highway over eighteen
miles of territory. Truly the.
work ofthe grand old thing has
been super human. It has kept
our hearts warm to the task of
building roads and suppliedja sum
of practically one hundred thou
sand dollars as Charlton’s share'in
constructing this Highway.

carry on work on other roads and
kept the’county ahead of the game
with its finarces, a source which

Group meetings of the Metho
dist Missionary Societies from the
Homerville, Waresbhord,Blacksher
Nuhunta, Folkston and Waycross
Methodists churches met ot the
Trinity church, in Wayeross last
Friday. Mrs. L. E. Heath, of
Douglass, the able District Secre
tary, presided. The principle
speaker was Miss Julia Johnstone,
of Cario, Field Secretary of the
South Georgia Conference. Those
attending from Folkston were

Rayner, C. J. Passieu, L. E, Mal
lard, Wm, Mizell, Sr., C. L.. Nease,
H. J. Davis, A. D. Williams, and
Wm. IMizell, Jr. An invitation
was extended the Group to hold

the Racepond School is now run
ning full time, snd is turning out
quite a vuanity of lumber. The
