The Bradford County Telegraph
says:
"Automobilists from Florida are
held up at the state line for tick
inspection. We might institute
an inspection for cooties on all
Georgians coming into the state.”
The most foolish thing we know
of, is the ahitude of our sister
state below us, and their many
adherants of a pclicy, that tends
te disturb the tranquility of the
two states.
’ Georgia bas a tick law. Ticks
cause untold losses annually and
we have gone to a great expense
in getting rid ot them, even to the
extent of purting up a line fence
’belween the two states. Yet our
brethen of the land of flowers, du
not seem to realize that every
!dollur we spend in ridding our
selves of these pests and building
¢ od highways are the means of
nelping that great state onward
i 118 mareh of progress,
Iy have a pest law tha
peraes to protect them in the
intlix of vegewmbles and fruits,
that *hey then expect to transport
their produets into er through our
state without any pretext of pro
tecting cur interest is just a sample
of the lack of good sound common
sense, and hreeds not the kind of
spirit we would, have bnd
but a pirit of resentment 0. the

Consider the effect and saving
of good feelings if Florida bad
oegun its 2swpaign of tick era:
