Hudson was an Atlanta visitor Sunday. Mrs. Homer Foster of Atlan ta, is a guest of Mrs. J A. En- terkin. The street, committee is doing some fine work this week on Broad Street. Friends are glad to know that Mr. E. B. McWhorter is able to b-. up again. Lanius Dake went to Atlanta Sunday to see his mother, who is in a sanitarium th re. Misses Flora Blalock and Vera Morgan were atlanta visitors Monday. Miss LessieBurson entertained some friends Monday night in a verry delightful manner. R. A. Bearden of Winston, was a pleasant caller at the Sentinel office Wednesday. Paul and Miss Grace Jones of Atlanta, were guests last week of Roy and Miss Louise Smith. Mayor Smith and Hon. John T, Duncan were Atlanta visitors Tuesday. Dr, J. T. Gibson will preach at. Lois Mill church next Sunday and Sunday night. Woodfin McLarty was out from Atlanta on legal business Mon day. Miss Ena Williamson has re covered from a spell of sickness this week Ralph Edwards is attending the Annual Georgian Round up in Atlanta this week J. W. McKinley is at home after completing several large decorating contracts in South Georgia and Alabama. Mattie Belle'Edwards is spend ing several days in Atlanti this week with her sister, Mrs. Roy W. Gould. Miss Oneal Lindsey of College Park, arrived Wednesday for a few days visit with Miss Marjorie Upshaw. Milton Williams of Atlanta spent the week end with Mr and Mrs B. F. Burton. Mr, and Mrs J. H, Almand have returned to Conyers after spending several dars here with relatives. Miss Louise Smith gave a birthday party last Friday night in honor of her sister, Mrs. R. M. Johnston. There will be no meeting of tne Board of Trade this week, but there will be something special on next Friday night. Mrs. M. E. Ward has moved this wei-k into the Morris cot tage on Bowden St., having rented her home to J. T. Feeley. Hon. W. H. Dorris of Cordele, 'spent Monday night here as'a guest of his father. While here made the Sentinel office a pleasant visit. J, T. Feeley of Winston, has been transferred to Douglasville and will be carrier on Route 2 Mr. Huey will be transferred to the new Route, No. 7. This sale was the result of the Southeastern Land Show and the Douglasville Board of Trade advertising. Romanism Exposed. Wm. Lloyd Clark, a noted lec turer, will begin a series of lec tures to-night (Thursday) at the Court House and continue one week. Some of his subjects will be: Rome’s fight on the open Bible; The Modern Inquisition - The in visible Government of the Pope; A Martyr of the 20th Century; Behind Convent Bars; Life in a Roman Monastery. All lectures free except the last night, which will be to men only, for which a charge of 50c each will be made. These lec tures will prove interesting and will doubtless draw large crowds.
