We further find, since the last
examination of county commis

neatly kept and correct so far as
we have been able to ascertain.
We find that the commissioners
haye received since January 1,
1917, county funds $11.10; road
funds, $74.62, and paid the same
to treasurer.

neatly and correctly kept. We

With the-exception of a few mi
nor repair -, which we recemmend

cares for nine inmates and -pays
the county $40 per year for use
of land. Wt find he has paid for

We find the stockade to be
well kept and in gdbd sanitary
condition. " ■
After examining the pension
roll we find it neatly and correct
ly kept. None on the roll have
died since the last report. We
find 72 soldiers and 36’ widows
on the list.
RECO M M END ATIONS
We recommend that the coun
ty commissioners buy two gi od
blood-hounds, male and female.
On account of the high priie'

the sheriff be allowed 60c per
day for feeding prisoners, being
a raise of ten cents per day over
previous allowance.

Owing to the failure of the
State to pay the teachers prompt
ly, it was necessary for the
County Board of Education to
borrow the sum of $8000 00 to
meet cuirent bills. This was
secured at the rate of 6% per
annum.
It will be the duty of your
body to elect a member of the
County Board of Education to fill
the unexpired term of Dr. W. K,
Burnette, who has resigned.
