Mrs. Minnie Kuntzof Atlanta, is visiting her son Gerald Kuntz, this week. Prof. J. N. Morris of Mc Whorter, was in Douglasville this week. Miss Willie Hall of Villa Rica, spent the week end with her brother, H. G. Hall. Mr. Neal has begun the con struction of a new dwelling on the Estes addition. Col. W. H. Swofford of Bill Arp was a pleasant visitor Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. John McKelvey of Birmingham, spent the week end here with rejatives. F. K. Duncan of Powder Springs, was in Douglasville this week. The Geer Concert Band looked fln« last Friday night in their new uniiorms. Mrs. Roy VV. Gould of Atlan ta, spent last week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Ed wards. The Civic Club has begun preparations for the establish' ment of a swimming pool for Douglasvil'e. Mts. M. E. Ward has returned home after spending several days with friends and reratives ^fttyilla Rica. Mrs. W. A. Hollingsworth and little daughter, Margaret, of At lanta, are guests of Mr. and Mrs, H- T. Cooper. Messrs J. T. Duncan and M, E. Geer attended the Bankers 1 meeting at Carrollton last Fri' day. Rev. W. H. LaProde, Presiding, Elder of the North Atlanta Dis trict, preached two able sermons here Sunday and Sunday night. Mrs G. B. Lindsey of Atlanta spent the week end here with her brothers Messrs. L, C. and H. M. Upshaw. Hon. J. Duncan, Misses Minnie McLarty, Opal, Lottie and Dorothy- Duncan and Mrs. B. F. Burton motored to Atlanta Tuesday. Friends of T. A. Jackson are sorry to learn that it was neces sary for him to return to Wesley Memorial Sanitarium this week for treatment. B. F, Roland ahdT. P. Hucka 1 by-were elected Monday night as representatives to the Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows, which meets in Atnericus in May. HHon. L. C. Upshaw and dau ghter, Miss Marion, attended the birthday dinner of Mrs Georgia Woatham in Atlanta Monday in celebration of her 80 birthday. State Commissioner of Agri culture, J. J. Brown, delivered a splendid address at the Court house last Friday night. Every farmer in the county should have heard him. Wereceiced a splendid news letter from Lithia Springs too late for publication last week and have by some means gotten it lost.' We apologize to our cor respondent and hope to have one every Week on time. Dr. and Mrs. T. R. Whitley went to Birmingham Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. E, M. Hagin and family left Tuesday to make their home in Ellaviile. They have many friends here who re gret to see them leave; We com mend them to the people of Ellaviile. The Young People’s Missionary held an interesting meeting at the Methodist church Monday night. All the young people of the town are requested to join. A social meeting will be held next Monday night at the home of Mrs. R. E. Hamilton.
