Kirby of the Jonesboro News, was in Douglasville for the week end. Miss Rose Abercrombie has a3 her guest this week, Miss Eliza beth Miller, of Salisburg, N. C. The Sunbeams of the Baptist Church enjoyed a picnic at Litnia Springs one day last Week. Miss Bessie Roberts, who has been teaching at James, Ga., has returned home for the summer. Prof, W. C. Duncan writes to have his paper changed from Tarrytown, N. Y., to Douglas ville for the summer. The Douglasville 3rd nine boys played the Villa Rina boys at Villa Rica last Friday and re turned home victorious. 0. E. Mason spent Sunday with his father. W. G. Ma§on, who is quite sick at the Old Soldiers’ Home. Miss Ruth Hatchett of Pauline, S. C., is here on a visit to her sister Mrs. -J. M. Keaton and J. C. James were all the old Vets, so far as we know, attending the Reunion from here, Mrs. H. G. Hall and children have returned home after a week’s visit with her mother, near Bremen. J. L. Perkins left Saturday for High Point N. C. where Mrs Perkins and little daughter have been visiting relative for several weeks, J Misses Alline Burton . and Edith Dake left Monday for Mil- ledgeville, to attend the summer session of the Georgia Normal and Industrial College. Mrs. R. E.' Hamilton has re turned home improAed in health after spending several weeks with her parents Mr. and Mrs W. H. Malone at Villa Rica. Miss Inez Durham, who has been teaching at Fairburn the past year, has been chosen as one of the teachers in the Car- rollson public schools for the coming year. Miss Savanah Freemen spent the week end in Jonesboro with the family of her brother J. J, Freemen end was accompanied home by little Miss Isabel who will.spend several days here.
