Health
About
Gone
Many thousands o!
women suffering from
womanly trouble, have
been benefited by the use
of Cardui, the woman’s
tonic, according to letters
we receive, similar to this
one from Mrs. Z. V. Spell,,
of Hayne, N. C. “Icould
not stand on my feet, and
just suffered terribly,”
she says. “As my suf
fering was so great, and
he had tried other reme
dies, Dr. had us
get Cardui. . . I began
improving, and it cured
me. 1 know, and my
doctor knows, what Car
dui did for me, for my
nerves and health were
about gone.”

She writes further: " I
am in splendid health .. .
can do my work. I feel I
owe it to Cardui, for I was
in dreadful condition.”
If you are nervous, run
down and weak, or suffer
from headache, backache,
etc., every month, try
Cardui. Thousands of
women praise this medi
cine for the good it has
done them, and many
physicians who have used
Qardui suecessfully with
their women patients, i<jr
years, gndorse this medi
cine. Think v. hat it means
to be in splendid health,
like Mrs. Spell. Give
Cardui a trial.

On June 13, 1917, God in His
infinite wisdom deemed to ca'I
Bro. J. W. B.'own from labor to
tefreshment.
Bro. Brown was born in De
cember, 1(581; joined the Mission
ary Baptist church at Mt. Zion
August, 1903.
Bro. Brown was raised to the
sublime degree of Master Mason
of Flint Hill Lodge No. 371 F. &
A. M. on the 21st day of August,
1915.
Bro. Brown lived in the fear
and the love of God, and in the
service of humanity a true dis
ciple of Masonry., and it is well
that we pause at this hour and
as a mark of respect to his life,
character and service, entwine a
wreath of affection around his
endeared memory. His religion
was not a period of broken peri
ods in his active life, it was
habit unyieldingand closely knit.
He was a good citiz nand neigh
bor and a byal friend. To his
dear ones and to us it seems that
he died before his time; that the
calendar measured for him defic
iency in j ears.
We should not mourn or com
plain, for it is not necessary for
us to determine what sh dows
are necessary for the fulfilling
of God’s mighty laws.
As we stood with bowed heads
in thy presence in loying mem
ory of our dec ased brother, let
U3 thank thee, Heavenly Father,
j for the sacred influence he has
left us and try to emulate his
! virtues, so that when the sum
mons comes we may be prepared
! for that change that awaits us
all. Therefore be it j
j Resolyed, That a copy of these
resolutions be spread on our min-
j ut es and a copy sent to the Doug
las County Sentinel and the
Carroll County Times for publi
cation, also a copy be sent to the
family of the deceased.

Extend your reach. Make
your territory miles, instead
of city blocks. Why not?
Distance means nothing
when you deliver your load
in one-quarter of the time
with a MAXFER—the whale

equipped with a MAXFER,
you can really adopt the

MAXFER makes a Ford used or

slips over the whole length of the Ford, strengthening it all
the way. Today it is being used by over 5,000 firms having clTUX
strenuous delivery service. In this day and age you cannot
deliver the service which is required without a MAXFER.
We will be glad to send you all particulars and have a demonstrator at
your place of business to show you that the MAXFER solves the hauling
problem of the high cost of horse delivery.
