Here is a way that EVERY
BODY can help our soldiers—
Amerscan Red Cross in charge.
The co-operation of every boy
and girl in Douglas Count, every
man and woman, is needed in the
campaign to procure materials
with which to combat German
poison gas.
One of the essentials in the gas
mask for our soldiers is Carbon--
the best best material is wanttd
with which to make carbon -so
help our boys by saving all:
Peach stones or pitts
Prune pitts
Plum pitts
Olive pitts
Date seeds
Cherry pitts
Brazil nut shells
Hickorv nut shells
Walnut shells
Directions—All pitts or seeds to
be thoroughly dried in ovens or
sun before delivery—to collector
points.
The Red Cross chapter of
Douglas County is pla ing barrels

in your store, put one there..
Organizations—Masons, Odd
Fellows, Civic League, W M S,
