CITATION-YEAR’S SUPPORT.
GEORGIA—Douglas County:
The return of the Appraisers set
ting apart 12 months support to Mrs.
M. A. Blair, the widow of, and five
minor children of J. A. Blair, deceas
ed, having been filed in my office, all
persons concerned are cited to show
caude by the 7th day of April, 1919,
why said application for t welve
months’ support should not be
granted. This March 3rd., 1919,
IN MEMORIUM
In loving but sad rememberance of
my dear loving mother, Mrs. J. A.
Ragan, who departed this life one
year ago today (March 5th.)
I am glad that I can say she is at
rest in Heaven.
No one knows what mother means
till she is gone away. I pray that I
will meet her some sweet day.
From her devoted daughter and
son-in-law,
J. H. McLARTY, Ordinary. ;MRS. MABEL and W. D. PALMER
ones a
speedy recovery.
Mrs. W- W. Morris, of Leoma,
Tenn., and her sister, Mrs. Lon Hilley,
of near Whitesburg, were visitors at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Morris
recently.
There are some people in every
community who are careless in send*
ing their children regularly to school*
This is doing the child and our country
a great inj'ury. This class of peoplt
are ignoring the compulsory educa*
tion law intirely. The law is not
worth a hill of beans unless it is in*
forced. Our school officials and
teachers should preach state-wido
local tax and for a strict compulsory
education law, and then if we succeed
in geting it, see that the law is in*
forced.
