YOUNG WOMAN’S V.’KW
OP-WOMAN SUFFRAGE
(From Marietta Journal)
While there is so much in the air ;
about tlte woman-suffrage qiies-i
t.ion; her rfhts. wluit .she is about j
to attain and any number of other
things, let us stop for a moment
and think. Do not go blindly into
1'which means so much
to the American people.
i. , ioi proven that women
is vi ry essential to the human race
she is the nucleus of the ini', ui .
.die represents all that is amid,
nobly an .pure. Wl.\ should she
mingle it: the dirt, of lm politico
world.’ I’olotics is the most attorn
inal tiling on the face of the earth
to-day and why a woman who rep
resents all that is high and holy
wants to mingle in it is more than
an intcllegent person can grasp.
Yes woman is man’s eiptal and in
some things she is far iiis supper
ior. Without the lender care oi
women man would soon he hack in
the savage stale. In Ibis day. of
intelligence woman ranks along
along side of : i in our univu:
silics and colleges. If j« right, and
just that she should, for it is the
woman who has so much to do with
the moulding of the future nation.
She should become Well informed
lint it should lm along thee lines
that will enable her to put forth
her efforts in building a nation*
that will stand the Iesl of time.
The home is the birth of the nat
ion, the kernel. I lie neeieus, and '
a word the foundation oil which
the nation is built, and that is the
most enormous and convincing
fact as to why it should he guided
lry one who has qualities that will
mould charae.ters cupapable oi
managing a country’s welfare
What is iid.ition of Americas
homes to-day ? You have only to
look about you to satisfy and an
swer this question. The average
home is far short of what i ! t sliou
Id he. hut why make it fall loivc
by losing the staunch director
Home is the haven of rest for the
malt Who is tossed about on tie-
restless waves of life, it means,
heaven to the little children who
cotne in tired from the day’s play,
it means everything to the wife
and, mother, who hovers over it.
Can you amagine our land withoiu
such a home"
h? file great strife that has just
been concluded, what did home
and loved ones mean to the fellnv
wild-spent months in “Flanders
Field?” Ili.s only thoughts were to
hurry home and to mother. If w
man apples the time tand effort
that is required to making hum
what i should he. she lias no tine
left to mix in polities'.
It may sound “old-fashioned”
to some women who read this,
but it wold he better for the world
if there was more old-fashioned
women in it; women who giv,
their whole time to home and its
eomlforts and not so much time to
trying to mix 1 hi-mscl'-.,- "•> in af
fairs that should be of so little con
cern to t heo . Thera, e e ’
of the "old-fashioned” ones left
to keep the “lioui" fires burning”
ami hold high he ideals of the Am
erican people. If we are to have
id strong a'ld danf'ess race of peo
ple. we must have guides and di
rectors who make their life wor:
women who mix in the political
affairs of nmtry will hnv
little time to devote to the build
ing of a nation whose ideal is the
light of the world. There are true
hlue-bhiodi'd women in our land,
who are not going to suffer our
ideals to full, and who will remain
in the olaee where God intended
she should stnv as pilot of the home
even to the last trench.

piles up and your temper fiscs with theatemperature.
You cant keep cool mentally unless yoa ate cool physically. Your physical com
fort depends largely on what you wear. Not only must your clothesbe light, but they
must look right.
