Surgeon General Blue, of the United
States Public Health Service, iff a re
cent statement from , Washington,
warns the public that the much-dread,
ed influenza epidemic will probably re
turn this fall and winter. All medical
authorities agree that the weak, blood
less, run-down individual is more like
ly to contract this (as well as any
other infectious disease) than is the
strong, robust, red-blooded man or
woman. In view of these facts, it is
wise (o use every effort to build up the
blood and thus increase the bodily re
sistance to the invasion ofthe germ
of the disease. Gude’s Pepto-Mangan
is an absolutely dependable red-blood-
builder in all conditions of lowered

Your Eyes
Have you ever considered how much less attention you give
your eyes than they deserve?
When you begin to feel that tight feeling across your forehead
ami an ugl/line appears between your brows, there’s your warning
that you have neglected one of your most precious possessions.
With children’s eyes early attenton means the comfort of going
wthout glasses in later years, that is, in cases where strengthening
is needed. Where more serious trouble exists it means a saving of .
sight.
We have an expert in charge of our Optical Department. Let
him examine your eyes. He will fit your glasses promptly if you
need them. If not, he will guarantee you an honest opinion.
We will fill your doctor’s prescription promptly . and,
ACCURATELY.
