President qf the Georgia Chamber,
has announced that Georgia Products
day this year will be on November 19,
and a general observance of that day
is expected throughout the state.
Governor Hugh M. Dorsey has is
sued a Proclamation covering the day,
and it is hoped that the people
throughout Georgia will respond to
:he request contained in this procla
mation and that every community will
hold a Georgia Products Dinner, in
Which nothing but products grown
within the state will be served
Gi^iet preparations are already
started in Atlanta and Macon, where
hundreds will be seated at the feast,
and unusual programs will be held.
Too much cannot be said of the
holding of Georga Products dinners.
The great need for increased pro
duction of food and feed stuffs, to say
nothing of the increcsed production
of almost evof almost every comodity,
is paramount at this time of high
prices, and numbers of authorities
have given i as their opinion that the
whole trouble lies in the fact that
there is an under production that does
not meet the demand.
It is hoped that the keenest enthu
siasm will prevail this year in the
holding of Georgia Products Day and
that serious thought will be given to
increased production of food and other
commodities.
Governor’s Proclamation
Whereas, The House of Represen
tatives of the State of Georgia did, on
July 27th, 1913, pass unanimously a
Resolution endorsing and commending

welfare undertakings, did set apart
and designate a day in November of
each year as GEORGIA PRODUCTS
DAY, on which day the people of Geor
gia are requested to dine on Georgia
products exclusively, as nearly as may
be; this for the purpose of awakening
our people to a larger and more varied
production of food crops: which day
has successfully been observed each
year, and
WHEREAS, the cost of food sup-
! plies has reached a remarkably high
; price, making it amatter of serious
I concern that the people of Georgia
grow larger supplies at home.
WHEREAS, I, Hugh M. Dorsey,
Governor of the State of Georgia, do
! hereby issue this Proclamation, enr
dorsing said planw and purposes to
all our people of the State, I suggest
j and request the general observance
of the Nineteenth of November, 1919,
as GEORGIA PRODUCTS DAY, and
urge the people of the various coun
ties, towns and communities to ob
serve the day in some fitting way
calculated to produce beneficial re
sults for every community, and to
awaken greater civic pride and in

Here’s the Ford Coupe, deservedly a very popular motor car because
of its all-round serviceability. Equipped with electric starring and
lighting system and demountable rims with 3J^-inch tires front and
rear. Large plate glass windows. Generous sized doors roomy seat,
upholstery deep and substantial. Dust-proof and water-proof. Breezy
and cheery in fine weather, cozy and dry in bad weather. All the
established Ford merits of dependability, with small cost for opera
tion and upkeep. For business and professional men who drive it
is ideal and for touring and other pleasure driving it is the one car
that delivers all expectations. The demand is large so orders should
be left with us without delay.
