The writer has been absent for two
weeks, so will come again with the
news from this section.
Sometimes we are inclined to get
scared over the price of paper, but
nevertheless, if our good editor secs
fit to raise the subscription price we
will try to geep our paper going, for
we simply can’t Jo without our home
paper every week.
Linton Harden and wife spent the
week-end in Villa Rica. '
Mr. C. C. Harper and family and
Mr. W. T. Williams attended the sale
of Mr. W. D. Noles, near Villa Rico,
on the 3rd of this 'month. They will
leave soon for their new home in
South Georgia.
Mrs. Josie Harden and children vis
ited her parents below Villa Rica the
past week.
Mrs. Lillian Townsend spent Thurs
day evening with Mrs. Annie Mc-
Gouirk.
Mr. Sam McLarty and wife moved
into our burg. We welcome them.
Mrs. Hazel Sudduth and babies
spent the first of the week with her
parents, Mr. and- Mrs. C. C. Harper.
The little babe of Mr. Olen Couch,
who has been real sick, we are glad
to say is doing nicely now.
Mrs. G. II. Couch, who has been on
the sick list the past week, is up again.
Mrs. Vola Harper spent Friday
night with Mrs. Flora Blair.
Mr. Claud Bivins, of Villa Rica,
spent Saturday night with his brother,
Eddie Bivins.
Most everybody from our communi-
fv went to Douglasville Saturday af
ternoon to soe Mr. Hugh Watson in his
air plan. The writer spent the day
there with friends.
The party at Mr. Warner Town
send's Friday night was attended by
a large crowd. Also the one at Miss
Ester Wilson’s was well attended.
The writer did not attend, being off
on a visit with relatives in Villa Rica.
Messrs. G. H. Couch and Jeff Har
den were Atlanta visitors Friday.
Mr. L. Campbell and wife spent Sat
urday in the Gate City.
Mr. Warner Townsend has purchas
ed a new Chevrolet car.
Mrs. Louella Moore, of Atlanta, vis
ited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. H.
Couch, the past week.
