DOUGLAS COUNTY SENTINEL,
Keeping the wolf from your
door is often taken too
figuratively. But it is not an idle
joke, to be ridiculed or ignored.
To keep the wolf from your door
requires weapons more powerful
than implements of war. It requires
a defense that cannot be bought or
borrowed — it is gained
through practice of thrift.
To save is to insure yourself
and your family protection.
Every man owes himself and
his family the protection of a
savings account in a good
substantial bank such as this
one. There are other ways in
which we can help you protect
your family. Investigate.

J OHN POMEROY, the eminent New Zealand scientist, is now the talk of
the entire state.
His new health theories are being discussed in all cities, towns, villager
and rural districts. In tact, Pomeroy is tuking the entire state by storm!
a In a recent interview, he said; “The stomach is the
organ that governs the health of man-kind. If it is toned'
up, strengthened and its functions regulated and properly
directed, the other organs will respond and the general
health and strength will be restored.
“Tn mar.y cases, such maladies as rheumatism, so-
called kidney disorders, nervousness, general debility and
a score of other ailments may lie traced direct'.v to tbo
derangement of the stomach.
“In other words, the stomach is the'Youndation of
health or disease, whichever it be, and if this organ is
kept healthy, it is almost certain that the whole body
will he robust and free from disease.
“My Puratone was designed especially to combat and
overcome stomach disorders. It is proving a revelation
JOHN POMEROY to thousands of sickly people by making them healthy
and rosy cheeked again, because it goes right to the seat of the trouble an*
removes the cause.”
(Explanatory Note: Mr. Pomerov's new medicine, Puratone i« *aid to he accomplish*
ing amazing result* in this section. Many statements are being published from well know*:
«nen and women who aav thev have been reftored to health by its use).
