Farmers are running in high now,

Some are through chopping cotton and
wheat is being harvested.
We had the pleasure of attending
Mr. Bob Harper’s birthday dtnner on
last Saturday, and we must say that
we had a good time and the best din
ner we have seen in a long time and
the most of it. About a hundred en
joyed the hospitality. Mr. Harper
was celebraing his 44th birth day.
Mr. Nat Mozley has relapsed with
the smallpox and is not doing well.
Mr. W. H. Roberts, who has been
quite sick, is improving we are glad
to report.
Mr. J. C. Janies, of Lithia Springs,
spent Saturday night with Mr. and
Mrs. W. H. Williams.
Miss Thelma Renfroe spent Sunday
with Miss Tommie James.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. West, of College.
Park, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J.
E. Renfroe Sunday.
Rev. Cheek filled his regular ap
pointment at Me. Carmel Sunday.
Woodard Kilgore is on the sick list
this week We hope he will soon be

train schedules for the accomodation
of tourist travel to the mountains of
Western. North Carolina will be put
in effect by the Southern Railway
System on Sunday, June 20th. Three
new through trains, giving overnight
service between Asheville and Atlanta,
between Asheville nnd Columbia, and
between Asheville and Chattanooga
will be established. In connection
with trains now being operated they
will give additional through service
between Asheville and New Orleans,
Momphis, Atlanta. Savannah, Augus
ta, Charleston, and Wilmington. The
new trains will be operated on the
following srhedules:
Leave Atlanta 8:45PM.-arrive Ashe-
villc 7:20AM; leave Asheville 8:00PM,
arrive Atlanta 5:25AM
Leave Columbia lt:50PM, arrive
