The good weather for the past two
weeks has caused quite a different out
Tok for a crop this year, most farmers
have got a stand of cotton and wilj^
about finish planting corn this week.
The club work over the county is
progressing nicely and a much larger
percentage of the boys are going
along with the work than I expected,
due to it being Such a late spring.
Below is a list of the corn club

paper will appear a list of the pig

Mrs. Nesbit Harper entertained the
sewing club on last Thursday after
noon.
Misses Anna and Ellen Winn will
leave Saturday to spend two weeks
with Miss Ruth Ragsdale, at Forest
Park.
Mrs. Henry Richardson has returned
home after a two weeks vitfct with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Adam,
son, at College Park.
A childrens day program .was very
successfully carried out at the Meth
odist church here on last Sunday.
Misses Mildred and Mary Ella
Haney, of Atlanta, were guests of
their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H.
P. Haney, on Saturday night.
Mrs. Leila Wheat is visiting her
son, Mr. S. J. Wheat, at Buford, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Pharr have re
turned to their home at Eastman, Ga.,
after several weeks stay with Mr.
and Mrs. J. P. Pharr.
Miss Ellen Winn entertained a few
of her friends on Monday afternoon
in compliment to Misses Malvina
Vaughn, of Bowman, and Kathleen
Estes, of Jay, who are the guests of
Mrs. Nc-sbit Harper. /
