At the last regular meeting of the
City Council, Boston withdrew from
■the Municipal League of Georgia, an
organization of a smlal hndful of
men who are trying to saddle on the
people of our state the greatest
curse ever thrust on them. In such
legislation, the taxpayers have to
foot the bill. It ebst the city $25.00
per year to belong to this municipal
league and .we believe the city fath
ers acted wisely when they refused
to send in their membership fee for
the year 1921.
If the city council of Boston has
any funds to throw away, we would
pjuch prefer that they give such
Ifunds to their present mayor to de
fray cigar bills, ice cream sodas, ba-
rnaiy.1 splits, and such. The cigars,
he would smoke himself, and the ice
am sodas, banana splits, nut sun
daes, etc., he could. use to try and
Jwtep the lady voters in a good tiu-
X until the next election.—Boston

Y OU probably know a man whose car is a

Year by year an increasing number of men

For a while they may try “job lot” stuff,

But usually it doesn't take long for a man to
