BOND NOTICE
To the qualified voters of the
Town of Douglasville, Ga:
Notice is hereby given that purs
uant to a resolution adopted by the
Mayor and Council of tire Town of
Douglasville, Georgia, at its regu
lar meeting on the 1 Sth day of Ju
ly 1921 there will be an election
held in said town on the 29th day
of August 1921 at the court house
in said town, the Voting precinct
for holding general elections in the
same for the purpose of submit
ting to the qualified voters of said
to\yjr the question of whether the
Town of Douglasville, Georgia,shall
have authority, through its prop
er officers, to issue bonds in the
sum of Four Thousand Dollars
($4000,00) for the purpose of im
proving the Water Works system
in said town, now owned and op
erated by said town as a nranh.i-
pal plant..
Said bond issue shall be in de
nomination of One Thousand Dol
lars ($1000.00) each thereby mak
ing the number of four bonds of
said denomination, and each bond
aforesaid shall bear interest from
date at the rate of five per celt,
per annum, and be dated and is
sued on Oct. 1st, 1921 and mature
and become payable on Oct. 1st,
1961, thirty years from date. The
interest oforesaid shall become due
and payable on each bond afore
said semi-annually as follows: One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00) shall
be due and payable on April 1st.
1922 and One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) on Oct. 1st, 1922, and
scmi.-annualy thereafter on April
1st and Oet. 1st from the year 1929
to 1951 inclusive.
The Mayor and Council of the
Town of Douglasville Georgia, in
event of the issuance of said bonds
shall by proper ordinance, provide
for the levy and collection of an an
nual tax on the taxable property
within the Town of Douglasville
Georgia, sufficient to pay the in
terest aforesaid; and shall provide
for the levy and collection of an an
nual tax upon the taxable property
within said tpwn sufficient to
and provide an annual sinking
fund of One Hundred and Thirty
Three Dollars and Thirty I'm.
cents ($133.84) annually for the
years 1921 ot 1950 nclusive so that
the principal and interest on
bonds shall be paid off and extin
guished on Oct. 1st 1951.
All of said principal and interest
shall be payable in gold coin of the
United States of Ameiea or its
equivalent.
Those voting at said election for
said bond issue shall have written
or printed on their ballots ‘I Ole
WATER WORKS BONDS"; and
those voting against said hond
sue at said election shall have writ
ten or printed on their ballots A-

poosa (Circuit brings this suit in
the name and behauf of the State
of Georgia and alleges:
That petitioner ps Solicitor
General of the Tallapoosa Circuit
in which said Douglas County is
situated.
2 That heretofore on the 16th
day of July, 1921, W. Q. Enterkin,
L. C. of said Count Seised on tlie ;
public highway in said county ah
automobile as folows: “An Elgin
automobile being a Five passen
ger car, Si,x cylinder," same then
and there being operated and driv
en by a person whose name and
residence is unknown to petitioner.
3 At said time the unknown par
ty lessee and owner of said
was using same on said Bankhead
Highway in said County between
Winston and Douglasville on said
highway for the purpose of trans
porting and hauling intoxicating-
liquors and alcoholic liquors, hax-
ing therein a qantity of the same
in the amount of twenty-five gal
lons of alcoholic and intoxicatug
liquors.
4. It is alleged herein that each
and every act of the said unknown
party was a crime and a mi:: In
rneanor under the laws of Geor
gia and that each and every act as
aforesaid constituted ground aul
cause for the condemnation and
confiscation of said automobile ac
cording to law

order of confiscation, condem ca
