In Meniortam.
The sad and solemn messenger
of death has recently visited
town and church and claimed for
the life beyond a fair flower in
the person of Mrs J C McDon¬
ald, one of the most active mem¬
bers of the Missionary and Aid
Societies of the Baptist Church.
She was one of our oldest and
most useful members, having
served most efficiently in the ca¬
pacity of president several years
prior to the gradual decline of
her health. She was ever ready
for the performadee of any duty
in the service of her Master and
in obedience to his will, She
looked well to the ways of hex
household.
A great loss is sustained in her
departuee. In her life and char
act-er was com bined and blended
all of those excellent virtues
which go to make up a true Chris
tian woman for the Master’s use
A sweet friend, most useful
and beautiful Christian, a devoted
and unselfish wife and mother
was Mrs McDonald. A noble
■example worthy of imitation.
Though modest in disposition,
her quietGodly life, coupled with
her intellectual qualifications.was
a benediction to hhe comrnnnity
and church.
She loved God and feasted
upon His word and found it to be
the bread of life to her. Through¬
out all the trials of her life she
never seemed to have doiFbted
His promises nor questioned yjis
