Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and

Mr. Dick Tucker went birding
recentlly and made twenty-two
shots, killing a partridge each shot.

Sunday night there was some fine
singing, with organ accompaniment,
at M. and li. L. Henderson’s. The
singers were: Misses Lila Tucker,
Maggie and Annie Henderson, Eflie
Hanlon and Mrs. R. L. Henderson,
and Messrs. L. J. Tucker, II. B.
Sutton and Master Nas Tom Hen¬
derson. Tommy Bussell, at Mystic,
Mrs. Kate Dr$w, at Drew’s Still,
and Mr. Russell Roberts, at the En-
sign-Oskantp mill, were part of the
delighted listeners. They heard the
music by telephone and applauded
each piece. About 9 o’clock good-
nights were said over the line, and
thus ended this unique and delight¬
ful entertainment.

On last Friday Morning Mr. T.
B. Young’s too pigs breathed their
last, and as all are anxious to know
their weights, I give them, and un¬
derstand they weighed these
amounts after they were dressed
and ready to be carved up to be put
in tbe smoke bouse. The weights
are as follows: “Old Boss (net),
6-80 pounds, “Little Boss” (net),
ooa pounds. If Commissioner Hen¬
derson had very high stakes on “Lit¬
tle Boss” he lost heavily. When
“Old Boss was hanging up to be
weighed he measured 7 feet 9 inches
from tbe end of his nose to the top
of his hind feet. His melt was 26
inches long and his hams alone
weighed 67 pounds apiece.
From the two hogs a barrrel hold¬
ing 50 gallons was filled with lard.

We are informed that Mr. R. C.
Roberts killed a hog recently that
weighed about 400 pounds, the head
weighing 60 pounds and the back¬
bone measuring 5 feet and 1 1 inches
in length. There, now!
Masters John and Eugene, the
handsome boys of Mr. 1). J. Hen¬
derson, entered school here Wednes-
day. The school now unmbers about
DID, with accessions every week.

Sutton, Ga., Jan. 30.—Mr. and
Mrs. J. T. Sutton visited the latter’s
parents last Sunday, near Brook¬
field.
Messrs. W. S. Smith and Johnnie
Daniels visited at Brookfield last

Mr. Jehu Fletcher, while on his
way to help his uncle drive cows
yesterday, was thrown from his
mule, bruising his face very bad. I
hope he will soon be all O. K.

Mr. M. L. Ligham, of Docia, is

Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hall reched
Ocilla Monday evening and are now
keeping house in the cottage recently
occupied by Mr. A. L. Hayes. Mr.
Hayes has moved to the M. G. Ho¬
gan coitage.
In a few days the Dispatch office
will bo connected by telephone with
Mystic, Drew’s Still, the Ensign-
Oskamp mills and M. and R. L.
Henderson’s. Then there will be
more talk,

Sunday there will be services in
the Baptist church at the usual
hours morning and night, by the
pastor, Rev. M. L. Lawson. A num¬
ber of fine singers from several vo¬
cal classes in the county are expected
to Wpresent.
The Christia ancl Roberts schools
have combined, and will erect a
comfortable school building and
will open a flourishing school about
the 1st of March, with Prof. T. W.
Coleman in charge. The Dispatch
wishes for teacher and pupils much
success.
Peek’s Bad Boy Company played
in the academy in Ocilla last Fri¬
day night to a full house. The play
was well rendered and kept the au¬
dience in a roar from start to finish.
Judge Peck, Peek’s Bad Boy, Mul-
eahy, tbe policeman, and the gro¬
cer, were excellent, but the bad boy
and the policeman were the great
fun creators. The large audience
were well pleased with the perform¬
ance.
