Henderson’s, and some very fine
singing was rendered.
It is said Commissioner II. reached
Irwinville last Saturday merning
just as the party broke up, and
looked sadly disanpointed.

down from Irwinville to preside in
|the lunacy case of Malachi Thomas,
a colored youth of about eighteen
! years. He was adjudged insane and
will be sent to Milledgeville.

A handsome young man of Ocilla,
whose front name starts with Seab,
undertook to hull pinders for a pretty
young Miss a few nights ago, and
bis fingers were kept going like
lightning to supply her. He worked

Birthday Party.
Wednesday night Mr. and Mrs. ;
S. J. Barnett gave a birthday party
complimentary to their charming
daughter, Miss Pearl, and it was
among the most delightful enter¬
tainments yet given in Ocilla.
The hours between 8 and 12 were
devoted to whist, crokinole, and
music, and sped all too fast.
Miss Barnett received a number
of beautiful presents. Dainty re¬
freshments were served.

plant a trial. From all we can learn
of the bean, he will not be disap-
pointed in the result. And we know

fallen into better hands,
