The Ocilla Novelty Works has
added furniture repairing to its list
of work. Broken furniture is
paired and made to look as well as if
just purchased from a furniture
dealer. We know whereof we write,

his family prostrated with the grippe
and said he expected to find more
down on his return. This malady
is very prevalent in Mr. Hogan’s
neighborhood.
Judge Dan Tucker's fish pond is
now in fine shape for harboring the

visited the Alapaha school Monday.

turned Wednesday from a fishing
frolic to Bowens mill, House Creek
and the Oemulgee river. They
caught a large quanity of shad and
other fine fish, but owing to their
appetites, brought but few home,
As is usual on such trips, the
largest fish got away.
The Masonic funeral service at the
grave of the late Bro. L. J. Harper,
of Alapaha Lodge, at Lax, seven
miles east of Ocilla, will be held on
the second Sunday in April. Ocilla
Lodge has been invited to partial-

Judge J. B. Olemetits, of Ifwin-
ville, was called to Dublin last
Saturday to attend the Masonic
funeral of Col. Ramsay, of that
town. Col. Ramsey was a notable
man. He was colonel in the Confed-
erat army; was county school com¬
missioner of his county for twenty
years; was Chairman of the commit-
tee on foreign correspondence of
the Grand Lodge of Georgia, and
was held in highest esteem by all
who knew him. About 1,500 people
attended the funeral.
