CONYERS, GEORGIA, SATURDAY JULY 9, 1892.
’TIS STRANGE RUT TRUE.
Mb. Editob: —There is a great
political conundrum that is now
engaging the attention of our
wisest patriots. »Up to this time
I have heard no plausible solu¬
tion of it, Doubtless some of
your readers may be able to
explain it.
Why is it that some men have
such an insatiable desire for leg¬
islative honors as to be forever
in the door on the first floor of
^ legislature ° and with nother
apparent motive than to , get ,
I the few dollars in the office anu
keep others out—young men
who bid fair . to be of benefit to
their people and rise high in the
Political scale.
No matter what the abilities
0 f others they are kept down ;
their energies are drowned and
their progress blocked by some
one who has never gotten oft the
boom step, but spreads out on
ft term after term.
Ungrateful are such men.
They can not point to a single
act of importance that origina¬
ted with them for the good of
the people.
How unfortunate for a peo¬
ple to be loaded down with
such a man. Without ability
to go higher—without manhood
to step aside and make room
for others who, perhaps, could.
We say, why are such men al¬
ways wanting an office that is
no honor to them and they are
no honor to it, and by so doing
retarding the progress of our
young men and the energies of
our people, which it should be
their greatest desire to promote.
Respectfully,
Retarded Energy.
No one doubts that Dr. Sage’s Catarrh
Remedy cures all Catarrh, whether the
disease be recent or of long standing,
because the makers of it clince their faith
in it with a $500 guarantee, which isn’t
a mere newsbaper guarantee, but on call
in a moment. That moment is when you
prove that its makers can’t cure you
The reason for their faith is thi3: Dr.
.Sage’s remedy has proved itself the right
cure for ninety-nine out of one hundred
eases of Catarrh in the Head, and the
world’s Dispensary Meddieal Association
can afford to take the risk of you being
the one hundredth.
