that will catch trade- If times

to advertising. He gets up some¬

himself strictly to truth and

advertisement as they do the
local columns of the paper.
They have confidence in whal
he says - they go to his s'ore
to trade and by fair dealiig
and courteous treatment, lie
‘holds their trade. Advertising
in any of the above ways is
commendable in a merchant,
but it is a neccessary branch of
his business to advertise in
some way, and if neglected can
only result in liis loss.

billion? The reply is very simple,

times a million. This is quick¬
ly written aud quicker till
pronounced. But no man is
able to count it. You will
count 100 or 17“ a minute .
But let us suppose that you go
upas high as 200 a minute,
hour after hour. At that rate
you would count 12,000 an hour
