Elder Clark Barber, pas tor of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church of Jackson, will be the guest evangelist for three nights. Everyone invited. Antioch is located at 1096 Old Cabiness Rd, Forsyth. May 3 Southside Celebration of Hope Southside Baptist Church will host “Celebration of Hope,” a benefit gospel concert, from 4 to 8 p.m. May 3 on the Meansville Campus of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, located at 2821 Hwy 19 South, Meansville. The event celebrates the ministry of the Children’s Home. Musical guests will be Gospel Gazette, Faith Walkers, Homeward Bound, Cathy White Drake, Mark Fuller (pianist) and Eva Mae LeFevre. Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken. May 4 New Damascus Baptist celebrates 141st anniversary New Damascus Baptist Church will cele brate its 141st church anniversary at 11:15 a.m. May 4. Everyone is welcome. The church is located at 676 Damascus Rd., Gray. Williams Chapel AME Family and Friends Day Williams Chapel is having a family and friends day program at 2:30 p.m. May 4 Rev. Walter Simmons, Jr. and the Mitchell Zion Baptist Church will be the special guests. Everyone is invited. Mt. Gilead Baptist celebrates 129th anniversary Mt. Gilead Baptist Church cordially invites everyone to fellowship with them on their 129th church anniversary on Sunday, May 4. Worship service will begin at 11 a.m. Rev. MacArthur Childs will be officiating. Mt. Gilead is located on 2703 Boxankle Rd. Hopewell UMC to present Drug Awareness Program Hopewell United Methodist Church invites everyone to a drug awareness pro gram entitled “Affliction of Addiction”at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4. The speaker will be Willie Bledsoe, of Hopewell UMC. The MC will be Bessie Mays and the Parker Chapel male choir will render music. A special invitation is extended to the class of 1974. Hopewell UMC is located at 483 Hopewell Road. Piney Grove to host ‘Hat Parade’ Piney Grove Baptist Church would like to invite everyone to “Hat Parade” at 2 p.m. May 4. The guest speaker will be Minister Lesia Atwater of St. Timothy Baptist Church of Culloden. It is request ed that each church send two representa tives for this occassion. Maynard Baptist presents ‘Neck Up Check Up’ Everyone is invited to come to Maynard Baptist Church at 6 p.m. May 4 for Dr. Newheart’s “Neck Up Check Up.” Through a massive dose of humor and a generous prescription of scripture, Dr. Newheart and her “honorable” colleagues will be giving Biblical perspective on how to keep our minds pure and our thoughts turned to the Lord. (Isaiah 26:3) Presented by the Joy Jammers Choir, grades 1-5 and a few happy adults, under the direction of Andrea Maynard. Light reception to follow. Mt. Airy Baptist celebrates 107th anniversary Mt. Airy Baptist Church will celebrate its 107th church anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 4. The speaker will be Rev.
