County, Georgia.

Habitat for Humanity to
take applications in Jin.
Monroe County Habitat
for Humanity will hold two
open application meetings
in January at the Monroe
County Library.
Applications will be
accepted Saturday, Jan. 10
at 10 a.m. and Monday,
Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.
A night meeting is being
added this year to accom
modate those who are
unable to attend on a
Saturday morning.
Meetings should last about
one hour.
The application process
has been revised and sim
plified for the coming year.
The initial application will
consist of two-pages only
and the only documenta
tion required will be for
residency and income veri
fication: photocopies of (1)
most recent pay stub, (2)
most recent 1040 form, &
(3) proof of any other
income such as child sup
port, social security or dis
ability payments.
Habitat for Humanity is
an international Christian
ministry with local affili
ates made up of volunteers
who build houses at cost

closed Dec. 21 through Jan.
1 for the Christmas and

store will reopen Friday
and Saturday, Jan. 2 and 3
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
and sell them at no-inter
est to families who need
decent housing but do not
qualify for conventional
bank mortgages.
