TIFTON TO HAVE FIVE
RURAL ROUTES.
Tifton. Ga., Dec. 3.—W. B. Brannon,
rural route inspector for this territory,
■was in Tlfton several days this week,
going over the three proposed new ru
ral routes. He expressed his opinion
that he thought the chances for Tifton
to get these routes were very good,
and that Tifton would soon have five
rural routes leading out of Tifton,
b&ving two now.
Dwelling; at Heartsease Burned.
Tifton. Ga.. Dec. 3.—The residence
Of Mr. Hart Gress at Heartsease, also
an adjoining residence, belonging to
the Hart Lumber Company, burned to
the ground yesterday. Just how the
Are originated is not known, but It is
thought that it caught from matches
ignited by rats. Mr. Hart Gross was
tfhnnarly from Atlanta and is pres
ident of the Hart Lumber Company, at
Heartsease. His residence was ele-
Ktuntly furnished, and was a frame
building containing several rooms.
Heartsease is a small section on the
Atiantio Coast Line in Berrien county,
thirteen miles east of Tlfton.
