party who first approached me on thll matter
demanded $1000 for bin services in negotiating
thn matter, which I declined to pay at fire*
bnt finally gave him a $1000 band
of the railroad com pa ay, and later on
hn sent me word that aa hn wu n state official
ha did not like to negotiate or hold tbo bond,
and aaked mo if I wonld hot boy it from him.
I finally bought the bond back and paid him
$640 cub for i* Notwithstanding thla effort
to aattriy General Phillip* which ho acknowl
