Amertcuii, Oa., Feb. 4.—Rich deposits
of kaolin have been found here and In
Bumter county. Generally this clay In
very valuable and lir citnea where big
deposits have been found, land Is aell-
lng nt high figures.
On the t'hantbllss farm rich deposits
were found and 140,000 waa paid for
the section of land.
The proposed Western nnd Gulf rail
way from Amerlcus to Vienna will de
velop thla territory, making the coat of
shipping so very' much tighter, that It
will pay to develop these valuable de
posits.
Another rich deposit was found only
about two miles from Amcrtrua on
Muckolce creek.
