of Dover while scores of Detaware’e

makers watched them, powerless. Three
of the men were chased by a posse and

Macon, Ga^ Feb. 23.—O. C. Braggs,
of Graves Springs, Ga.. was brought to
Macon yesterday and carried to the
city hospital. Mr. Braggs hod been
shot, the bullet entering his side ami
worked Its way to the ftomarh.
At a late hour the doctors operated
upon the unfortunate man, to remove
the bullet, but he died a few hours
after being taken fn»m off the operat
ing table.
Mr. Braggs was in no condition to
make a statanient In regard to the
shooting, so none of the facts of the
case could be learned.

transfer station which the Macon Rail
way and Light Company proposes to
erect at the Intersection of Mulberry
and Fourth streets, were placed In the
hands of superintendent John Nyhan,
of the company, yesterday. The plans
call Tot' a building of buff-cotored brick
with a Spanish tile roof. The architect

Senator Looney stated that he was
going to Introduce a resolution Monday
morning asking that the Investigation
be brought to a close.

Is busy paying off the pensions. Hous
ton county furnished about 1.400 troops
In the Civil war. There are only 65
of all classes here who get pensions,
