weeks.
Mrs. Ralph Elliott, of Los Angeles,
Csl.. formerly of Savannah, has an
nounced the engagement of her daugh
ter, Harriet King, to Mr. John Brown-
low van Ess, of Chicago, the wedding
to be a quiet event of November 14.
Miss Elliott has spent most of her life
here and Is very closely Identified with
the social life of the city.
The Mary Maclean Circle of King's
Daughter*, whose membership Includes
a number of society's most prominent
young women, gave a very attractive
garden fete on Tuesday afternoon In
the court yard of the DeSoto Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin W. Cubbedge
