Governor Smith got one of the great
est ovations given him along the route.

with him. Governor Smith smiled,

Following the governor-elect's car
riage came a long line of carriages with
prominent people In them from all over
the atate. Among thee* were Hlahop
W. A. Candler, Congressman Charles
It. Bartlett, of Macon; Congressman
T. G. Hardwick, of the Eleventh dis
trict; Hon. Pope Brown and many
others.
He had on a regulation frock coat, but.
oe usual, he wore no necktie. All along
the route of the parade ha and hie fni\

Mr. Smith bowed to the crowds and
seemed to be the happiest man in the
entire parade.
