A corporation whose purpose it will
be to carry on the business of colonisa
tion Saturday filed application In the
superior court for a charter under the
name of the Aurora Colony Company.
The Incorporators are J. Bascom Jones
and A. A. Krtcson, of Fulton county,
and J. G. Jones, of Crlgp county. The
amount of capital stock Is placed at
340,000) divided Into shares of $iu,i
each.
The company proposes to carry on a
general colony business, to acquire
lands for colonisation, to clear, plant
and Improve fruit groves of all kinds
as well ns tobacco and to cultivate nnd
harvest all kinds of agricultural prod

WOMAN IS BITTEN;
DOG GOES MAD
Mrs. Viola Stewart, of Scottdale. who
Is visiting at the home of Mrs. H. E.
Dillingham In East Fair street, Just be
yond the city limits, wns severely bit
ten by a small terrier Friday afternoon
about 5 o'clock. A few hours later the
dog died In convulsions, and, It is be
lieved, had hydrophobia.
Mrs. Stewart has not yet received the
attention of a physician, but will prob
ably go to tho Pasteur Institute Satur
day afternoon.
EMBEZZLER GETS
42 YEARS IN PEN
Tellurlde. Colo., Nov. 16.—The plea
for mercy from the court made by E.
A. Tilley, who confessed having em
bezzled 352,000 of school and city funds
while city clerk and clerk of the school
board, fell upon deaf ears and he was
subjected to a scathing lecture by Dis
trict Judge Shakelford, who sentenced
him to 42 yeara in tbe penitentiary.

dale, was arrested In Atlanta Thursday

According to statements, Lane's ac
counts tvtth the road arc Bald to be
mixed. It Is stated, however, that his
books have not been checked, and It Is
not known whether he Is short.
