Savannah, Ga., Dec. 6.—There has
been a disagreement between Greene
and Gaynor, prisoners in Jail at Macon,
awaiting the decision of the supreme
court of the United States upon thetr
certiorari recently filed with that body,
over the counsel employed.
Up to this time the defendants have
had counsel In common, but now John
F. Gaynor Is represented by Oebome
& Lawrence and Garrard & Meldrlm,
of thla city, tffhlle Benjamin D. Greene
U represented by John R. Coudert and
Howard Taylor, of New York. A vlo-
latlon of professional ethics, as the
story comes from Washington, Is said

pers there. Gaynor said he would not
be represented by counsel other than
that In Savannah, while Greene thought
there was an advantage In having the
New York attorneys, and elected to
