better than some of his brothers. He has
been a tremendous success in every city
In the world, and here ih Atlanta it is
predicted that he will eclipse some of
the great hits of the season His control
is based upon the old adage of mind over
matter, and with willing subjects, presents
an entertainment that would be impossi
ble to otherwise create
The supporting bill Is one of unusual
Interest because of the fact that the other
six acts embrace nearly every depart
ment of acceptable vaudeville. For the
students of art. those who love beauty
and charm, the management has booked

Down Broadway" company. Diamond is
one of those unctious comedians, clever
and original, versatile to a degree His
partner. Miss Nelson, is one of vaude
ville’s genuinely . charming women, and
their act, "Something New," promises to
be a revelation because of its originality.
The exposition Four, lately returned
from abroad, will present what is con
ceded to be the best quartet act in the
vaudeville field These four comedians
have set. the pace tor other quartets, and
have created more genuine Interest in
vaudeville than any ether quartet in the
profession.
This bill will also serve to introduce a
elever young entertainer Dave Ferguson,
who is known as the "storiette comedian."

Lyceum stage to vaudeville and has met
with a tremendous success

teen girls, who are expert musicians, and
the booking of succeeding weeks is up to
that high standard that has made the
busy theater a popular institution.
KJN.EMACOLOR PICTURES AT
THE GRAND JMEXT WEEK
One of the most thrilling scenes of the
great durbar ceremony, when King George
and Queen Mary were proclaimed emperor
and empress of India, was the state entry
into Delhi, amid the paludlts of more
than a million of the diversified races of
India
This entry was made through what is
known as "The Elephant." or Delhi, gate
from the vast plain that surrounds the
city without the wails.
The elephant gate is a huge structure
of marble and is pierced by the single
arch through which the procession passed.
On either side of the gate within are
the two monster elephants carved out of
solid blocks of marble, which give it its
name
These monster elephants were the spoils
of Victory of one of the moguls or em
perors of . Delhi in the fourteenth cen

that of the entry of the royal pageant of

GENTRY BROS." CIRCUS
IS COMING NEXT WEEK
With a trained animal show like that
of Gentry Brothers, there are thousands
of little tales of human interest. Many
of these are replete with a comical side.
The story of a monkey with the show is
no exception. This monkey is sometimes
called the "Baseball Monkey," but it is
not through any ball playing ability that
he got the name.
In the menagerie of the Gentry shows
he is-known as "Mordecai Brow n." This
name was given him in honor of the three
fingered ball player, and Incidentally the
monkey's crippled hand. "Mordecai
Brown," the monkey, might have been
called “Mike” had not his curiosity led
him to misfortune. On his cage are two
doors. The outer door is made or heavy
wood. The inner door is made of iron
grating, so that at times the outer door
can be swung clear and the monkey get
the benefit of the open air that circulates
through the cage door.
"Mordecai Brown ' the monkey, did not
understand the working of these doors
when he joined Gentry Brothers' shows.
Being imbued with all the antagonism of
the simian family, he bid defiance to a
trainer one afternoon when the trainer
tried to close the outside, or solid, door
of his cage He reached out his right
hand to shove the door back, but his
aim was bad
The monkey's forefinger was caught be
tween the door and its frame Conse
quently the finger was amputated This
happened at a time when the baseball
