PEACHTREE
It is certain now that on the strong tide of an advancing
market, everything on Peachtree out to Ponce DeLeon will go
to SI,OOO a front fool.
Discriminating buyers who secure lots that are especially
well located, either corners or lots running through to other
streets, will possess one good asset in a piece of Peachtree front
age. This property is fast becoming fancy and rare. We have
a few (a very few) small Peachtree investments that are a little
better than the average. They are about the size that a young
fellow can handle and make money on.

KOSHERS; JEWS OF
CHICAGO MEATLESS
< HICAGO, May 28. Because the
kosher butcher “trust” a w-eek ago re
solved not to buy more tattle at the
stockyards, there is a meat famine
among the orthodox Jews here today. ”
The kosher butchers asserted that
they were forced to pay from 3 to 6
cents a pound more than Gentile butch
ers. The stock they had on hand soon
was exhausted. Then the orthodox
Jews raided the chicken marksl Now
the available chicken supply has been
exhausted, and even the supply of
smoked fish is gone.
The butchers have locked up their
shops, and the orthodox Jews are with
out meat of any kind.

A DAY: MASONS STRUCK
BUTTE. MONT., May 28.—A unique la

operations in Butte since April 1 was ad
justed by the intervention of international

A few months ago the hod carriers’

conceded the demand, but the bricklay

with any hod carrier who got more than

The problem was settled by compro

TO GET CONVENTION |
Dr. Claude A. Smith, city bacteriolo- « (
gist, goes to Washington. D. C., tn- fg
morrow with an original idea for ob- W
taining the 1913 convention of the Na
tional Society for the Prevention of fl
Tuberculosis for Atlanta.
Dr. Smith says that many of the del- Ji
egates protest that it is too hot in At- /J ,
lanta in May for a national convention.
He says that Atlanta's climate is cooler Mi
than Washington's and that during thn Y
convention he will prove it to the dele- |
gates by posting placards in the con
vention hall comparing the tempera
tures In Washington and Atlanta at the
same hour. '■
Unless the Washington temperature |
absolutely- discourages the delegates, |l
Dr. Smith says he Is confident Atlanta £
will get the next convention. iff
