Bradfield secured the alligator at Alligator .Toe’s farm in Jacksonville and sent it by express to the Cole Mo tor Car Company in Indianapolis. He merely wired his concern, "Am shipping an alligator. The kosher butchers asserted that they were forced to pay from 3 to 6 cents a pound more than Gentile butch ers. The stock they had on hand soon was exhausted. Then the orthodox Jews raided the chicken market Now the available chicken supply has been exhausted, and even the supply of smoked fish is gone.
