N today did damage es timated at $1,000,000, when th? plant of the Interstate Cooperage <'ompany was destroyed. It is said that th? cooperage plant will be rebuilt. There was no Insurance The plant of the John L. Roper I.umber Company was saved after hard work by volunteer fire t( ht ers. The greatest loss to the cooperage company was in lumber, 2.500,000 feet being destroyed. The box factory, lum ber kilns and four box cars were burned. The cause of the fire has not n?en ascertained.
