Don’t Drink RAW Water
J ...
By reason of the widespread campaign of hygienic education carried on by medical
men and scientists, nearly everyone now realizes the danger in drinking raw water.
Thousands of tests have proven that all well water, river water and surface spring

THE ATLANTA GEORGIAN AND NEWS-. FRIDAY, MAY 31. 1912.
ENROLLMENT FOR SUMMER
SESSION BEGINS AT THE
SOUTHERN BUSINESS COLLEGE
The Mere Statement, “I Have
Had a Business Training in the
Southern Business College, ’ ’ Se
cured Mr. Floyd Jeffords, a
Stranger in a Strange Land, a
Fine Position in a Bank.
Thp summer session is opening at
the Southern Shorthand and Business
University and many young people are
enrolling for the various courses
taught at this well known institution.
The reputation that this old college
has established 'as "the school that
gets results” is again emphasized in a
letter just received by the proprietors
of the college from Mr. Floyd M. Jef
fords. now of Miami, Fla.
While the Southern fully appreciates
the credit given to it by Mr. Jeffords
as contributing to his success, at the
same time the Southern had in Mr.
Jeffords good materia) anti the school
knew a few days after he entered that
.he would "make good" and achieve
more than ordinary success. His letter
follows:
Miami Bank and Trust Co.
Miami. F’la., May 17. 1912.
Southern Shorthand and Business
University, Atlanta, Ga.: Gentlemen
Just a year ngo I entered the South
ern Shorthand and Business University
as a student in both the Commercial
and Shorthand departments. After re
ceiving my diploma in December I
came to Miami and secured a position
with the Miami Bank and Trust Co. I
needed no recommendation —merely,
stated that I had a business training
in your institution. My thorough
knowledge of the latest methods- in
Rookkeeping soon brought me forward
and 1 now hold the position of Head
Bookkeeper.
There is no doubt that Graham-Pitt
man Shorthand is "Best by Test." I
never get so out of practice as to ex
perience any trouble in transcribing
my notes, no matter what the speed or
the amount of dictation.
A fact that I have since learned to
appreciate Is that Penmanship is
TAUGHT —not merely a period set
aside in which to write. If a fellow
gets by Professor Johnson without
learning to write, his case is hopeless.
The moral tone and religious influ
ence of the school should especially
recommend the Southern Shorthand
and Business University to boys and
girls who are compelled to leave home
to secure their education. The mem
bers of' the faculty are not only in
structors of the highest efficiency, but
are upright. Christian gentlemen who
interest themselves in the spiritual as
well as the intellectual welfare of the
students.
