Miniature Ships at
Sea to Adorn Bon
Voyage Luncheon
A bon voyage luncheon which Mrs.
Charles Sciple gave today at the t>rtv
inr cluh for Mrs. E. P. Mcßurney, who
leaves soon for a summer abroad, was
characterised by unusually effective de
tails. A mirrored surface, simulating
the sea and extending about eight feet
across the table, was bordered ■with a
bank of green moss, and on Its sur
face rode miniature seagoing craft. A
model of the Cedric, which will bear
the honor guest across the ocean In the
near future, occupied the center of tb>
mlnlagure bit of deep sea At the place
of *ach guest were tiny ships bearing
Uncle Sam's colors, and the place cards
bore sketches of semes on the deck
of an ocean liner.
The symbolic details were rendered
more beautiful by the floral baskets of
red popples and Shasta daisies, which
were placed at intervals outside the
green banks around the table

Burney and for Mrs Lee Lewman. who
