Cooking With Gas is
ECONOMY
It Has Been Thoroughly
Demonstrated
The actual cost of rooking a meal on a gas stove
depends of course upon the rook and the number of
vessels used in the rooking.
Actual tests have demonstrated that a lull din
ner consisting'of nine dishes, sufficient lor a family
of seven people, (’AN be rooked with t cents worth of
gas.
Our demonstrators use this estimate as the basis
upon which they work when instructing housekeep
ers and cooks in the economy of rooking with gas.
Thev KNOW that b\ the exercise of ordinary
care in turning on and olf the burners in the gas
stove that the average family OUGHT TO COOK
three meals per <la\ at the following cost:
Gas for Cooking Breakfast - 3c
Gas for Cooking Dinner - - 7c
Gas for Cooking Supper - - 3c
Total for three meals, I 3 c
Estimate for one month, $3.90 (bamily of
7 People).
This estimate is made up not only tmm the ex
perience of our demonstrators, but there are fully
fixe thousand families in Atlanta whose gas hills
for cooking do not amount to more than the above
figures, in proportion to the number of persons
cooked for.

A Word About
Coal Stoves as Compared
With the Modern
• ’
G asR ang e
A ton of coal costs from $4.50 to $5.00.
An average family cannot cook for one month on
a ton of coal.
Is it "hot plain, therefore, that the gas stove is
the most economical means for cooking your meals ?
As for the convenience and cleanliness of the gas
stove in comparison with tin* coal and wood range
there is no room for argument. Ihe illustration
presented herewith is a striking picture of the rela
tive merits of the gas stove and the coal and wood
stove. On the one hand then* is a huge pile of coal,
< with accompanying dust and ashes, and labor in
bringing in the fuel, and heat in the house long af
ter the meal is finished. On the other hand, there is
merely the neat looking gas stove, with the fuel al
ways ready at the striking of a match, and the house
cool and comfortable the minute the cooking is done.
We have gas stoves in price from sl6 to S4O, on
terms to suit the purchaser.
