BOOTBLACK QUARTETTE IS
BIJOU’S FEATURE NEXT WEEK
What has freely been acknowledged
as one of the best' vaudeville shows of
the season will be brought to a close
tonight at the Bijou, and judging from
the attendance during the week, the
S. R. O. sign will be kept busy tonight
by the usual Saturday night crowd.
The several acts playing there this
week are unusually good, and present
,i diversified entertainment that ap
peals to all classes of theatergoers.
For next week even setter things are
promised and the special headline fea
ture, and one that is bound to be im
mensely popular, will be the appear
ance of the Bootblack Quartette, ex
ponents of comedy and fun, composed
of Nick Voerg. Herman Hendricks,
Charles Weber and Phil E. Adams. For
several months the management of the
Bijou has had its New York agent on
the lookout for this quartette, but on
account of its reputation, it has always
been in such demand that this is the
first open week which could be offered.
The Bootblack Quartette will offer not
only the latest ragtime melodies, hut
introduce good wholesome comedy that
is sure to make the biggest kind of a
hit.
As a special novelty, the program
announces the, appearance of the
Wheelers and company in their spec
tacular pantomime absurdity, entitled
“Fun and Frolic.” This act deals with
the absurd side of automobtling and
judging from the immense hit that it
has made in Nashville and Richmond,
patrons of the Bijou may expect one of
the most pleasing, up-to-date and
amusing acts of the season.
There will also be the Vincent Trio,
a singing act which comes ivith the
highest of indorsements.' The last and
closing act,on the program is the mu
