MEMBERS of the debutante set,
"ho, after a winter and spring
of much gayety, have given
»'vay to the June brides and the col-
If-ge girls, were the guests of a de
lightful party this afternoon, whenl
Mrs Holland Lowndes and Mrs. George
Lowndes, Jr., were hostesses at a bridge
tea, complimenting their young sister.
Miss Wilkinson, of San Antonio, Texas.
The trio of pretty sisters, who have
won much admiration from Atlanta
since their coming here to reside, were
lovely in their smart afternoon frocks.
Mrs. George Lowndes wore white lin
gerie. lace trimmed and embellished
with dainty hand embroidery. Mrs.
Holland Lowndes was gowned in black
charmeuse satin, with the deep collar
and turned-back cuffs of Irish lace.
Miss Wilkinson wore white embroid
ered crepe over satin, with a girdle of
black velvet.
The apartments of Mrs. George
Lowndes on Howard street were deco
rated lavishly in daisies and enchan
tress carnations, with palms and ferns.
Silk hose were given as prizes for top
score, consolation and honor guest.
Mrs. Brooks Entertains.
A pretty party of the day was given
by Mrs Shirley Victor Brooks in honop
of Miss Georgia Watts, a bride-elect.
The decorations were of pink sweet
peas. The prizes included silk hose, a

"If you dissolve an original package
of mayatcne in a half pint witch hazel
you have a true complexion heautifler
that will make your skin smooth, clear,
satiny and free from blemish. Gently
massage the face, neck and arms with
this simple, lotion and you will he de
lighted with the improvement. It is
better than face powder.
"Put four ounces of powdered orris
root in a fruit jar, add an original
package of therox, shake together, and
you have a perfect dry shampoo pow
der. Sift a teaspoonful on the head,
brush through the hair, and it removes
dust, excess oil and dandruff. Therox
makes the hair grow long and luxuri
antly, and keeps it soft, fluffy and lus
trous.
“To make a hair remover, mix pow
dered delatone and water in sufficient
quantities to form a paste. Cover the
hairs on face or forearms with the
paste, allow to remain two minutes,
then wash the skin and the hairs will
be gone. This method is sure, safe and
speedy.
"Thin eyebrows come in long, thick
and silky if pyroxfn is applied to lash
roots with thumb and forefinger. Thin,
straggly eyebrows will grow long, thick
and lustrous with the same treatment."
