This announcement was made by Lord Mer sey. the presiding officer, when the sit ting was resumed today. Lord Mersey said he would sit tomorrow instead of taking the usual week-end adjourn ment. Sir Rufus Isaacs staid that the testimony of Captain Rostron of the Cat pa thia was desired, but that Ros tron would not be available until the week after next. He suggested that the smnming up be commenced without waiting for Rostron. The met of Inquiry wdll find that the Californian defaulted from duty.
