NEXT WEEK AT THE THEATER HIGH-PRICED STARS WILL MAKE UP FORSYTH BILL The highest cost bill of vaudeville that has been presented in Atlanta will be the bill of entertainment at the Forsyth next week, starting with matinee on Mon day and continuing with daily matinee and evening performances all the week. Joe Welch, the original, one of the clev erest character comedians in the theatri cal profession, and Trixie Friganza, the always famous musical comedy comed ienne, will be the stars of the program, and there will be five other acts of ex ceptional and extraordinary merit. It is the purpose of the Forsyth man agement to make the programs for the busy theater the best that money and the influence of the Keith circuit can pos sibly make them. There has been such a tremendous patronage during the last few weeks, a response to the excellent en tertainment that has been offered, that very effort is being made to prsent th highest quality of real vaudeville that is available, and there is no limit to the cost. The shows for some weeks have been of that extreme high quality that seats have been so much in demand the supply has been exhausted hours in ad vance of performances. The strength o.* the show that will commence operations ! on Monday has evidenced itself at the | box office with a tremendous advance res- I ervation. Joe Welch, who is to he one of the ■ stars of the bill, is conceded to be the • funniest Hebrew character comedian. He | has been the star of the “Peddler” and “The Shoemaker,’’ perfect successes in the high-class theaters, and his success • for three years in vaudeville has made j him one of the greatest stars of that : branch of the profession. He is funny, . He Is original and unique and one of the i greatest cards yet brought to the For- t syth. Welch has been a headliner for } two or three years, appearing as the star i feature in all the Keith and Orpheum i theaters. He is equally as popular with i performers as with the theater-goers, and 1 it may be depended upon that he will be i one of the best liked entertainers yd ! brought to the busy theater. Trixie Friganza, another of the big star '■ acts, is perhaps the best known of the I modern stars, so far as Atlanta is con cerned. The delightful comedienne spent 1 months in Atlanta some years ago in a : stock organization, and was cultivated by > some of the best people. She left Atlanta , to join a successful musical organization ' and was rapidly advanced to a star posi- I tlon. She was one of the most success- j ful entertainers with the famous Joe I Weber company, and was last seen in At- I lanta as the star of, one of the musical ! offerings at the Atlanta this last season. ! She has been in vaudeville for some weeks and has scored a triumph that eclipsed some of the big hits that have been re corded by others in the profession. She will be a popular card on this bill, and real welcome awaits her. A big feature will be the introduction of the Asahi Japanese troupe of six won derful entertainers. The act is away from the old style acrobatic Japanese! novelty, inasmuch as there are other sea- ' tures to the act that are of more im- I portance. They will show some feats i in oriental magic that will be interesting. 1 and the feature of this part of the p’o- . gram will be the wonderful water tricks i first performed In this country by Ten Ichi, the great Japanese wizard, who has given Asahi the secret. Tom Linton and his Jungle Girls, a com pany of nine people, will offer a minia ture musical comedy that promises to be one of the actually bright spots on the bill. With special stage equipment ami special music, with pretty girls ami a duo of clever comedians this act will probably be one of the best features on the bill. The Three Belmonts, the really famous singing and dancing trio, will offer an act that gives promise of helping the drawing power of the program. Pretty girls and clever dancing has always been popular here, and there is no doubt that the Belmonts are in a class all their own in this class of work. They will in troduce a surprise novelty that will be the talk of Atlanta Gus Edwards' Song Revue. It Is announced that Gus Edwards’ Song Revue, the big singing and dancing nov elty that headlined the bill at the open ing of Keith’s Union Square theater, in New York, at the reopening of that place of amusement last week, will be the star of the Forsyth bill for the week com mencing June 24th. The act is the highest priced headliner that has been brought South, and in ad- ■r. i m - rr&a > ■ I />■& When a New Perfection Comes in at the Door Heat and Dirt Fly Out at the Window. ™-! I feel that it is my duty to thank you for what Tetterine has done for my son When he was a small child he was poisoned with Ivy. from which he has been dreadfully afflicted for years, not withstanding we have had him treated by physicians and used many advertised remedies. I have often seen him cry from pain caused by the dreadful condi tions of his hands. We finally learned of Tetterine. and, after using two boxes, my son’s hands have been cured, no signs of the trouble for five months. Yours very trulv, (Signed) MRS. T .1.
