Dr. Grove realized that it required more than the house alone to make a home.
He saw that flowers and trees and pleasant surroundings were needed as well as the
house. It takes time for trees and shrubbery to grow as well as for workmen to do
development work. And that’s why Dr. Grove was never in a hurry to allow his prop
erty to be placed on the market.
Time and money and a small army of workmen and engineers have now about
done their work. So now we have been able to secure the control of this magnificent
residence section and we make this announcement that it is on the market.
It requires a visit for one to become enthused over this delightful section. It looks
so different from ordinary residence sections which are generally offered home builders.
It shows for itself just what care and thought and money and efforts to beautify have
been expended upon it.
All this was done by a man who didn’t need his money back in a few months. He
could afford to spend the fortune necessary to develop it properly and according to his
ideas of what would make a section for homes—not simply houses.
. Now that his task has about been completed; now that the trees have grown and the shrub
bery is a delight to the eye, he has allowed us to assume charge of the property and offer it to
home builders.
We are offering it on terms which are just as interesting as the property is beautiful. We real
ize that the people who are going to be happy in homes at Fortified Hills are salaried people who
want and who appreciate the beautiful in residence sections as well as the wealthy do. We know,
too, that these investors are those who do not find it convenient to write a check for the price of
these lots—investors who want time in which to complete their payments and who need money for
the home building. That’s why the terms are so reasonable.
But that’s another story. It is one we’ll tell you about when you go out to see fortified Hills.
And when you see it, you will become enthused like others have become enthused and we believe
you will appreciate just what has been done to make Fortified Hills the ideal residence section for .
the man of moderate means.
We have a beautiful illustrated booklet which tells all about Fortified Hills. It shows some of
the delightful parks and drives; the rustic splendor; the quiet exclusiveness and some of the cozy,
beautiful homes. It pictures happy children about pure springs which are cared for and protected
The recreation park and the playground problem has been solved at Fortified Hills. It is a
place where the children can play and romp without the mothers to dread the trolley and the auto
mobile. It is a place where they can breathe pure, fresh air and grow strong.
For the air is pure and invigorating in Fortified Hills. 1 his property looks down upon Atlan
ta with the dust and dirt and smoke common to all cities. It is considerably higher than the city
and from the Hills may be seen the city twenty minutes away by trolley.
But let us take you out to this ideal suburban location—the place where every home owner
lives in practically a private park.
And remember that there is not a location in or near Atlanta where lots can be secured with
the attractions this property offers or with the restrictions as to race, cost of houses and the like, at
even double the prices at which these lots will be sold.
All these advantages, together with the prices and the attractive terms we have to

offer, make Fortified Hills one of the most attractive real estate propositions ever of
fered to investors in Atlanta. We would like to talk to you about it.
And anyway, let us send you one of the handsome booklets which tell and picture
the beauties of Fortified Hills.
The ideal residence section for the man of moderate means.

This is a picture of Evelyn Place, and shows with what pride Fortified Hills home-owners
care for their lawns and beautify their homes. It would not be nearly so beautiful and attract
ice if there were trolley cars running in front of the doors.
